VietNamNet Bridge – A program to help young people, especially the disadvantaged, have access to information technology and develop skills to find jobs and work effectively was successfully carried out in Vietnam from last December to this March.

The program was jointly organized by the School of Information and Communication Technology - SoICT (under the Hanoi University of Science and Technology) and the Vietnet Information Technology and Communication Center (Vietnet-ICT), with financial sponsorship of a Korean corporation - Happycom.

For four months, the program organized 15 training courses, giving opportunities to nearly 500 disadvantaged students and young people in Hanoi and the three northern provinces of Hai Duong, Nam Dinh and Thai Binh.

Trainees were equipped with basic IT skills and the skills to find jobs and work effectively. All participants said the program was helpful for them during the technology and integration age. They said they hoped that similar programs would be organized in the future.
