South Korean movie stars join auction for charity in Hanoi


 


Hundreds of students flocked to a meeting-hall of the HCM City University for Social

Sciences and Humanity to wait for the Korean star at 4pm. Song Seung Hun

and a film crew of the Korean KBS TV Station arrived at the university at 4.30pm.

However, the Korean actor appeared at the scholarship granting ceremony at 6.30pm.

 

They held posters of “My Princess” series, which starred Song Seung Hun and Kim Tae Hee.

Students wait for ttheir idol.

Only over 30 students were chosen for an exchange with the Korean star,

which was filmed by KBS. At this meeting, Song Seung Hun answered all questions of Vietnamese

students about culture, people and country of South Korea. 

 


After two hours of waiting, they saw their idol. They shouted when Song Seung

Hun entered the room and bowed to them.

 


The actor is the goodwill ambassador of the Korea Foundation.

He represented the foundation to present scholarships to ten

Vietnamese students. Each scholarship is worth $200.





 

Song Seung Hun said that he had wonderful time in Hanoi before he went to HCM City.

He paid visit to the War Remnant Museum, the Ben Thanh Market, strolled

around Saigon streets and enjoyed many Vietnamese cuisines.

 


“Why I came to Vietnam so late! I’m very happy and moved with your

sentiments to me. I will return to Vietnam,” he said.

 


The Korean movie stars spent only five minutes with students. After delivering

a short speech, he was escorted by body guards to his car.

Students ran after the actor and shouted his name. Song Seung Hun

waved his hand to students.

He began the tour in HCM City on the morning of January 9.

He posted a photo taken in HCM City on his Cyworld blog, with the caption:

“The weather here is wonderful. I like this feeling very much.”
