VietNamNet Bridge – South Korean singer and actor Kim Hyun Joong met over 3,000 fans and presented over VND200 million dong ($10,000) to a charity fund for Vietnamese children on August 12.

Korean star saves his smiles in Vietnam


The meeting between the Korean star and Vietnamese fans were held at Queen Plaza,

HCM City on the afternoon of August 12.





The Korean singer performed only one song. He took photos

and talked with fans during the remaining time.

Kim Hyun Joong raised around VND200 million (US$10,000) by auctioning three

of his life-size portraits and a sport T-shirt at the meeting, which was held by

Operation Smiles and Korean cosmetic brand THEFACESHOP.

He signed auctioned items.

Different from the previous press conference, the Korean star always smiled.

He took photos with fans. He said that he plans to return to Vietnam

early next year for a show. The Korean singer left Vietnam the same day.




The event was followed by a photo and signing session and joined
by Huong Giang, Miss Grand Slam Asia 2009, who is ambassador of Operation Smiles.





The Korean star presented VND200 million to Huong Giang.
