VietNamNet Bridge – While traveling in Da Nang city, a Korean female tourist was hospitalized for bee stings, but she did not survive.

On the morning of July 21, Choi Jiyeon, 26, Korean nationality, died at the Da Nang Hospital after more than 10 hours of treatment with bee sting wounds.

The patient was hospitalized at about 7pm on July 20, in a state of severe respiratory failure and heart failure. According to the victim's relatives, the accident occurred when the tourist was traveling in the forest of Hoa Ninh Commune, Hoa Vang district (Da Nang city).

At the same time, representatives of the Ba Na Hills resort in Hoa Ninh commune said that on July 20 the medical team here did not receive any information about visitors who were stung by bees.

Ms. Le Thi Thu Hanh, deputy director of Da Nang Foreign Affairs Department, confirmed the case of the Korean woman who was suspected to be killed by bee stings.

Hanh said the incident was reported to the South Korean Consulate. However, the agency has not received the specific report about the case.
