VietNamNet Bridge – The final round of Robocon Vietnam 2013, held in central Da Nang City on the evening of May 12, saw the great success of Lac Hong University’s teams which overcame 29 other teams to reap all the three top prizes.

The university’s LH-SEE team won the championship with prize money of 50 million VND (approximately 2,390 USD). The LH-NVN EAGLE ranked second, while LH-ET* team shared the third prize with the BKD-PTC team of Da Nang University of Science and Technology.

Accordingly, the two highest-ranked teams of LH-SEE and LH-NVN EAGLE will represent Vietnam at the 2013 Asian-Pacific Robot Contest (ABU Robocon) which is scheduled for August in Vietnam.

This is the fourth consecutive year Lac Hong University has won the Robocon Vietnam contest.

Established in 1997, Lac Hong University in the southern province of Dong Nai has 12 faculties, offering training courses in 21 majors. The university has an enrolment of 20,000 students in the 2012-2013 academic year.

The 2013 Robocon Vietnam competition themed “Green Planet” was co-organised by Toyota Motors Vietnam and Vietnam Television, seeing the competition among 180 teams from 45 universities and colleges nationwide. Thirty two best teams were selected for the final round.
