Showcasing rich cultural stories and national identity, 44 exceptional lacquer artworks go on display in Hanoi until December 22.
On the afternoon of December 12 in Hanoi, the Department of Fine Arts, Photography and Exhibition under the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism opened a special event titled "Lacquer Art Exhibition in Celebration of the 14th National Party Congress."

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Deputy Minister Ta Quang Dong emphasized that the exhibition affirms the enduring vitality of Vietnamese lacquer art. He noted that the event also contributes to promoting the image of a nation rich in cultural identity, creativity, and humanity.
The exhibition features 44 outstanding lacquer paintings from artists across generations. Each piece tells a unique story, reflecting the beauty of the Vietnamese homeland, its people, and the spirit of the times.
Among the artworks are creations by prominent masters such as Nguyen Van Binh (Landscape of Hoa Binh), Nguyen Nghia Duyen (President Ho Chi Minh with Children), Le Quoc Loc (Chi Lang Pass), Lo An Quang (After the Workday), Tran Dinh Tho (Road to Pac Bo Cave), Nguyen Van Ty (Ha Long Boat), and Doan Van Nguyen (Peninsula).
The exhibition also introduces the work of many contemporary artists who have made their creative marks, including Pham Hoang Van (Vietnamese Bamboo), Nguyen Phuc Loi (Countryside Alley), Nguyen Truong Linh (Blue Moon), Tran Tuan Long (Echoes of the Central Highlands), and Bui Huu Hung (Xoan Girl).

According to Deputy Minister Ta Quang Dong, the event marks the beginning of a cultural and artistic series in celebration of the upcoming National Party Congress. He expressed confidence that the exhibition will attract a large audience and continue to inspire the creativity and dedication of Vietnam’s artistic community.
Through its collection, the exhibition honors the historical and cultural values of the nation, promotes Vietnam’s beauty, and offers an aesthetic space for art lovers to enjoy.
The exhibition is open until December 22, 2025, at the Vietnam Fine Arts Exhibition House on Hang Bai Street, Hanoi.
