The newly-crowned Miss Sport Vietnam, Lai Huong Thao from Quang Ninh Province, will represent Vietnam at Miss Supranational 2012 beauty pageant from Tuesday until September 15 at the TV Event & Convention Center in Warsaw, Poland.

The coronation night will be held from 8 p.m. to 10 p.m. on September 14 in the European capital city.

Thao was born in 1991, is 1.67 m tall and has vital statistics of 89-61.5-91.5. The accounting-audit student of Haiphong Private University was named Miss Sport 2012 earlier this month in Danang City. She has been modeling for four years and is one of the favorites to net the best body measurements and dancing skills for the talent contest.

She will perform fan dance in ao dai (Vietnamese long dress) and silk dance which helped bring her the Miss Sport title. Thao is backed by designer Vo Viet Chung for ao dai, Hoang Hai for evening gowns, Lan Hanh’s swimsuits and casual wear by Dai Anh Duong Company and Luu Ngoc Kim Khanh. The beauty has prepared paintings made of rice as national gifts to the organizing committee of the contest.

First held in Poland in 2009 by the World Beauty Association, Miss Supranational is one of the six prestigious beauty contests worldwide. This year’s contest has attracted contestants from 60 nations.
