VietNamNet Bridge – Le Tan Lai of Chau Phu won the fifth stage of the Return to the Country – An Giang Plant Protection Cup yesterday, May 14.

The 131km stage ran from Long An Province's Moc Hoa District to Can Tho City.

Lai crossed the finish line in a combined time of 3hr 45min 55sec with an average speed of 34.79kmph. Eng Lin from Cambodia and Ly Quoc Viet of Long Xuyen took second and third place, respectively.

Huynh Thanh Tung of Military Zone 7 retained the yellow jersey with an overall time of 10:06.41, followed by Ha Thanh Tam of Vinh Binh Rice Factory (10:07.48) and Tran Nguyen Minh Tri (10:07.57). Domesco Pharmacy Dong Thap won the team competition, followed by Military Zone 7 and Vinh Binh Rice Factory.

Today they will compete in the 62km sixth stage from Can Tho to Soc Trang City.
