VietNamNet Bridge - When digging the foundation of a house in Bao Loc city, Lam Dong province, building workers unexpectedly found a weapon storage of nearly one ton in weight.

Upon detection of the weapons, the house owner, Ms. Phan Thi Ha, reported to the local authorities and military forces.

On October 24, the military forces of Lam Dong province dismantled and cleared this weapon storage.

The underground weapon storage is in the middle of the house, covering an area of approximately two square meters. Upon detection, the ammunition storage had a lot of grenades, mortar bullets, phosphorus bullets, machine gun bullets mixed with soil.

According to the local military forces, the total weight of the ammunition storage is around 1 ton, including M14, M16A landmines; mortar bullets, M8 and M34 grenades, phosphorus bullets and machine gun bullets.

It is highly possible that the weapons were stored there in the wartime.
