VietNamNet Bridge – More and more Lamborghinis have appeared in Vietnam,
though the owners of the cars well understand that they will not have many
opportunities to drive them and enjoy the outstanding features of the super cars
on the narrow roads in the country.

Just several years ago, no
automobile manufacturer could imagine that Vietnamese, whom come from a country
with a low average income per capita at 1000 per annum, could own such supercar
models. However, it is now clear that Vietnamese are also capable of purchasing
supercars and they are no different than other playboys in the world. This
explains why a lot of supercar models, including the newest in the world, have
appeared in Vietnam just a short time after they rolled out the manufacturing
factories.
The pleasure of owning Lamborghinis
Of course every person has his own taste but it is clear that the sports cars,
which allow to raise speed from zero to 100 kmph within just three seconds,
always catch the attention of Vietnamese people.
The first Lamborghini car, a Gallardo coupe, appeared in Vietnam in May 2007.
Since then, a lot of the famed manufacturer’s cars have been arriving in
Vietnam. Most recently, a Murcielago LP670-4 SV, which claims the highest speed
in the world, has fallen into the hands of a Vietnamese playboy. This is the
46th car out of the 350 cars the manufacturer made all over the world.
An interesting surprise is that the car bears the plate “4646” which coincides
the car’s series.
The question has been raised why Vietnamese playboys favor Lamborghinis to any
other car models. It is clear that Lamborghinis are not suitable to the road and
traffic conditions in Vietnam.
The super cars have a wonderful characteristic that it needs only three seconds
to reach a maximum speech of 342 kmph. However, this is also the biggest setback
of the super car with respect to the conditions in Vietnam. That explains why
Lamborghinis can only roll on the roads at night.
A man who owns a Lamborghini said he only drives his car at night to satisfy his
“car addiction”. When he needs to go somewhere with his family members, he uses
another car, which is much cheaper than the Lamborghini.
In terms of car interior, the supercars from Italy are inferior to other
commonplace models, such as Honda Civic or Lacetti CDX. Meanwhile, Lamborghinis
prove to be less useful than Mini Coupes or Toyota Yaris’s when rolling on the
roads in Hanoi. Lamborghinis are also clearly not the car which can be driven by
any family member, because high speed always means “high risks”.
Especially, it is very costly to “feed” Lamborghinis. Murcielago Lamborghini,
for example, needs 21.7-35.7 litres of petrol for 100 kilometers. Meanwhile,
Mini Coupe needs 7.4-8.1 litres of petrol only.
However, despite the disadvantages, Gallardo, Murcielagos LP670-4 SV and
Lamborghini LP570-4 Superleggeras are still arriving in Vietnam. Vietnamese
players just need a Reventon more to become famous all over the world. A
Lamborghini in Vietnam is three times more expensive than any Lamborghini in any
other places in the world because Vietnamese have to pay high taxes.
Not only the big guys in big cities can own super cars like Lamborghini. Most
recently, playboys heard that a Superleggera has been purchased by a man from
Ninh Binh City. Opinions from a well informed circle said that a Lamborghini
LP640 will dock Da Nang port in the next month.
