VietNamNet Bridge – On February 9, the front pages of Lao daily newspapers carried portraits and a biography of Vietnamese President Truong Tan Sang, highlighting his official visit to Laos.

In its editorial, the Pasaxon Daily of the Lao People’s Revolutionary Party said the visit takes place as the Lao people are implementing the Resolutions of the 9th Party Congress and during the Laos-Vietnam Friendship Year marking the 50th anniversary of diplomatic ties.

The traditional friendship, special solidarity and comprehensive cooperation between the two Parties, States and peoples are a great heritage and have inspired the development of the two nations. The relationship has been a decisive factor in the victories of each country, the editorial said.

It added that the ties have been constantly developed and fruitful in all fields, bringing practical benefits to people in both countries.

The exchange of visits by leaders and officials of States, sectors and localities have contributed to boosting cooperation between the two Governments, enhancing trust and friendship between the two peoples.

The newspaper expects that President Sang’s visit will be successful in bringing Laos-Vietnam traditional relations to a new height, for the sake of peace, stability, cooperation and development in the region and the world.

The same day, other newspapers carried articles on the Vietnamese people and land, as well as their achievements in various fields.
