The September 8-10 event will feature not only a series of trade and tourism promotion programs, but also conferences on tourism development, forums on MICE tourism and a workshop themed digitalization in tourism, heard a press briefing organized by the HCMC Department of Tourism to announce the launch of the 16th edition on August 16.
Nguyen Thi Anh Hoa, director of the municipal department, said that since its first rollout in the city in 1994, the international travel expo has been solidifying its position as the country’s most prestigious and biggest international travel show.
This year’s event titled “Growing Forward Together”, with 210 booths exhibited by local firms and 50 others by international enterprises, is expected to attract over 22,000 visitors.
The expo will also offer foreign visitors trips to the city’s districts to survey tourist sites and experience various tourism products and services.
The International Travel Expo in HCMC will give foreign firms opportunities to expand their reach in Vietnam, especially HCMC, according to the municipal department.
