The annual programme is held as part of the celebration of Vietnamese Lawyers’ Day (October 10) and Vietnamese Law Day (November 9).
The programme will include direct consultations in each district, at the bar association headquarters, and online via Zoom.
In collaboration with local authorities, the lawyers will conduct simulated court sessions to promote legal awareness on issues such as cyberbullying and domestic violence.
On October 9, 30 legal professional organisations in the city will also provide free consultations to assist individuals with personal and family-related legal issues.
On October 10, 16 additional lawyers will be available to provide consultations at the headquarters of the HCM City Bar Association in District 1.
For the online consultations via Zoom, individuals can register and send their questions to experienced lawyers such as Trương Thị Hòa, Nguyễn Văn Hậu, Bùi Quang Nghiêm, Vũ Phi Long and Nguyễn Thị Minh Huyền.
According to the HCM City Bar Association, the programme, which provides accessible legal assistance to the public, ensures everyone has the opportunity to seek guidance and clarification on their legal rights and responsibilities, contributing to a more just and equitable society.
By offering free legal advice, these lawyers aim to reduce barriers to accessing legal information and address the legal concerns and uncertainties faced by individuals and families.
Legal issues can often be intimidating, especially for those who are unfamiliar with the legal system, according to the HCM City Bar Association. — VNS
