Tran lost to second seed Wong Hao of Hong Kong 6-7, 5-7 after nearly two hours of play at the Lan Anh Tennis Club.

Earlier, seven other Vietnamese players were also defeated at the event.

The tournament will end on March 25.

Viet Nam had won two boys’ singles titles and two boys’ doubles titles and had achieved two second-place finishes at the 2015 edition of Division II in HCM City.
