Libraries to be set up in northern schools

VietNamNet Bridge – Non-profit organisation Room to Read on Monday signed an agreement with two provincial department of education and training to set up libraries in 30 primary schools in northern Thai Nguyen and Tuyen Quang provinces.

Room to Read, which promotes reading in Asia and Africa, will supply books, book shelves, tables and chairs for about 11,000 students.

The project is expected to cost VND2.3 billion (US$110,400). The libraries will officially open in early September.
