The fifth seed Liem, who has an Elo rating of 2714, easily beat his Slovenian rival, with her own Elo rating of 2580, in 30 moves.

This win helped the two-time Aeroflot champion return to the tournament's top 10.

In his final match last night, Liem met 19-year-old master Negi Parimarjan of India.
