The 2019 Light Festival is set to take place in Ho Chi Minh City between May 5-19.

The previous version was held in Hanoi back in 2016. This year’s edition will see the festival take place on Tan Trao street in district 7 of Ho Chi Minh City.


Twenty-four giant lanterns, each over 10 metres high, will be on display throughout the festival.

The lanterns will feature images of Disney Castle, Wonderland, Big Wheel, Love Bridge, and Snow Village which are to be accompanied by a laser system.

A number of activities will take place, including a circus, art performances, and games to excite crowds during the festival.

Booths showcasing electronics, food, and fashion will be set up along Tan Trao street.

Entrance ticket costs will cost VND100,000 per adult and VND60,000 per student, with free entry for children below 75cm tall.
