Hamilton coached Vietnamese footballers on speed and passing, while Berg trained goalkeepers.

Hamilton said Viet Nam’s players are very talented. They have speed, skill and bravery. She believed if Vietnamese footballers receive support, they will greatly improve.

Hamilton and Berg will have another training session with footballers in the northern province of Son La today and tomorrow. Then they will travel to Da Nang and HCM City on April 22-28.

The Sport Envoys programme is a global sports mentoring programme of the US Department of State. It mobilises professional athletes, coaches and administrators in a range of sports to engage underserved youth, particularly girls. The programme sends approximately 40 envoys around the world each year.
