LinkedIn Corp. listed an IPO on the New York Stock Exchange on Thursday, surging over 90 dollars a share shortly after the opening bell.


John Lipsky, acting Managing Director of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) will provide " able and experienced leadership" to the Fund at this critical time for the global economy, the U.S. Treasury Department said Thursday.
The world's largest professional network priced at 45 dollars per share. During the morning trading section, the company' s stock was traded at 83 dollars per share and quickly jumped over 90 dollars per share.


At 90 dollars a share, LinkedIn was valued at about 8.5 billion dollars, making this 8-year-old company one of the largest tech IPOs since Google in 2004.


The company was planned to raise around 350 million dollars, aiming at improving its professional networking service.


It raised it IPO pricing range earlier this week to between 42 dollars and 45 dollars a share from 32 dollars to 35 dollars a share due to strong demand from investors.
