VietNamNet Bridge – The Vietnam Record Book Center has named the 14 top specialties of Vietnam. The list is the results of the first program to seek Vietnam’s top specialties, which was launched in 2010.

The 14 top lists of Vietnamese specialties consist of:
1. Top 50 fruits
2. Top 50 cuisines
3. Top 10 gifts and cakes
4. Top 10 jams
5. Top 10 sauces and spices
6. Top 10 wines
7. Top 10 nem cha (meat, vegetable rolls and meat pies)
8. Top 10 specialty fruits of high economic value
9. Top 10 natural specialties
10. Top five sweetened porridges
11. Top five soups
12. Top five goi (dishes made of raw vegetable, fish, etc.)
13. Top five largest wholesale fruit markets.
14. Top five fish, shrimp… sauces.
The lists will be updated annually. The new lists will be made public every September.
To honor and introduce Vietnam’s specialties to domestic and foreign visitors, the Vietnam Record Book Center and the Vietnam News Agency Publishing House have cooperated to publish the Yearbook of Vietnam’s Top Specialties 2012 and the Map of Vietnam’s Specialties 2012.
