VietNamNet Bridge – The French band, Lo’Jo, will perform at HCM City’s Institute for Cultural Exchange with France (IDECAF) on June 25 and Hanoi’s French Cultural Centre L' Espace on June 27.
Vietnamese audiences will be taken on a musical trip around the world during the band’s concert, which features music influenced by the sounds of North Africa and French folk songs.
The event is one of the activities taking place to commemorate 40 years of diplomatic ties between Vietnam and France.
Lo’Jo was founded in 1982 and its current members include singer and keyboard player Denis Péan, violinist Richard Bourreau, singer/saxophonist Yamina Nid El Mourid, and vocalist Nadia El Mourid, as well as bass player Nicholas 'Kham' Meslien and drummer Baptiste Brondy.
