In the first Vietnam International Fashion Week (VIFW) held in 2014, the image of Vietnam’s Non La (conical hat) on the stage left good impression on spectators.

That was the first international fashion event in Vietnam, marking a milestone for Vietnam’s fashion industry.

In VIFW 2015, spectators were surprised at an image that seemed not related to fashion – village bamboo. 

The symbol is closely associated with the lives of farmers in Vietnam. The village bamboo is reproduced in a creative and lively way.

Many spectators still can’t forget the stage in VIFW 2016.

Images of lotus were delicately arranged on the stage.

In Fall/Winter 2016, the Vietnam International Fashion Week took place in Hanoi for the first time. The stage was associated with the image of O Quan Chuong (Quan Chuong Gate) - the oldest historic gate in Hanoi.

Most recently, the high buildings were reproduced on the stage at VIFW Spring/Summer 2017, showing a dynamic and modern Ho Chi Minh City, opening the doors to integrate into the world.

Obviously, the stage of VIFW is an important factor to draw attention of spectators. The organizing board told the October 17 press conference that the subject of VIFW 2017 Fall/Winter 2017 was inspired by the Long Bien Bridge.

With less than 24 hours until the opening of the VIFW Fall/Winter 2017, the official image of Long Bien Bridge on the stage was announced.

Over the past 100 years, Long Bien Bridge has witnessed all historical events that made the capital city like it is today. This the second time VIFW will be held in Hanoi, the image of Long Bien Bridge is expected to satisfy all people who love fashion and beauty.

Trang Le, founder of VIFW, said in the first VIFW event in Hanoi that O Quan Chuong was considered a gate to welcome international friends, and this year the image of Long Bien Bridge would symbolize a bridge to connect Vietnam to the world. 

The VIFW Fall/Winter 2017 will open on October 31 night and it will last through to November 3.
