Contemporary, chiseled puzzle pieces made of iron, bronze, aluminum and wood are on display at the exhibition Puzzle Pieces by sculptor Luong Van Viet.

He created utmost minimalism in the shapes, with no redundant details. These puzzles pieces create silence and clarity in the mind and heart.

The exhibition aims to bring viewers a pure experience of the characteristics of each material: the warmth of wood, the heaviness of rocks and the coldness of metals. With the freedom to feel the similarities and differences in structures and distances, the audience can write their own stories.

“Each of the pieces represents a human being. We are constantly looking for our perfect match, whether in career or in love,” Viet said.

The exhibition will run until August 7 at the Hanoi Studio, 13 Trang Tien Street, Hanoi. — VNS
