Nam, number 418 on the ATP ranking, lost to Paolo Lorenzi from Italy, number 108 in the ranking, 0-2 (3-6, 2-6), in the men’s singles category.

Nam took a 3-1 lead in the first round, but the Italian player was able to complete a comeback to win 6-3.

Lorenzi showed continued strength in the second round to win 6-2.

After returning to Vietnam, Nam will join the Vietnam team at the Davis Cup group three, Asia-Pacific region, held in the end of May in Singapore.
