VietNamNet Bridge – Ly Hoang Nam of Becamex Binh Duong secured a place to compete in the quarter-finals of the Viet Nam Tennis Federation Pro Tour 1.

The Federation Pro Tour 1 was held in Vung Tau City on January 29.

Nam, No 1 seed, easily beat Ngo Duc Duong of People’s Police 6-4 and later, Duong retired because of an injury.

No 2 seed Trinh Linh Giang of Becamex Binh Duong also reached the quarter-finals after defeating his teammate Tu Ngoc Nhut 6-0, 6-0. Le Quoc Khanh of Hung Thinh-HCM City also made his name in the next phase after crushing Lam Quang Tri of Hai Dang Tay Ninh 7-6, 7-5.

The event attracted the participation of some 100 players, competing in four categories -- men’s and women’s singles and doubles.
