The 20-year-old player defeated veteran Trinh Linh Giang 7-6, 6-1 in the finals of the men’s singles to take the title.

In the men’s doubles, Nam and Vinh Hai Dang beat duo Giang and Bui Tri Nguyen 6-4, 4-6, 10-7.

The seven-day event atttacted the participation of eight leading players of the country including Nam, Pham Minh Tuan, Do Minh Quan and Vu Artem.

Early this month, Nam made it to the semi-finals of the Hong Kong F6 Futures tennis tournament.

As planned, Nam, who won the boys doubles trophy at the Wimbledon championships with partner Sumit Nagal, an Indian, in 2015, will take part in the Japan Men’s Futures tennis tournament after the Tet holiday (Vietnamese Lunar New Year).
