A press conference was held in HCM City on May 9 to announce the promotional campaign for Vietnamese movies and the city’s tourism at the 70th Cannes Film Festival. The campaign is funded by actress and businesswoman Ly Nha Ky.

The event is attended by Ngo Phuong Lan, director of the Vietnam Cinema Department and Bui Ta Hoang Vu, director of HCM City Tourism Department.

Ky says she has spent EUR1 million on the 70th Cannes Film Festival to have Vietnam’s posters placed at the most prominent positions of the event.

Three large posters will be placed in front of the Majestic Barriere Hotel and Palais des Festivals.
