She emphasized that the Vietnamese language is more than a communication tool - it is a vital connection to family, community, and homeland. Through learning Vietnamese, students can better understand their grandparents and parents, who always hope their children remain rooted in their cultural origins.
Madam Ly was pleased to learn that the Vietnamese language class at Vesala has been maintained for nearly 40 years. She extended her gratitude to the Helsinki Department of Education and the Vesala school administrators for supporting the program. She also acknowledged the tireless dedication of Vietnamese teachers who are quietly nurturing a love for the homeland and preserving the Vietnamese language for the younger generation.
