According to Zalo, Kiki, the virtual assistant developed by the company, had 300,000 installations by the end of March and the number of Kiki users had grown by 50 percent compared with December 2022.

Most recently, Zalo announced that Kiki would be integrated into Hyundai cars to be manufactured by Thanh Cong Group. A cooperation agreement has been signed by Zalo AI and Vietnamese Thanh Cong Motor Infrastructure and Service JSC (TCMS) and South Korean Motrex Co Ltd, under which Kiki developed by Zalo AI will be integrated into the entertainment system In Vehicle Infotainment – IVI.

Established in 2001, Motrex is a leading provider of multimedia entertainment systems for car manufacturers in the Asian market.

Meanwhile, TCMS is a member of Thanh Cong Group (TC Group), the assembler and exclusive distributor of Hyundai cars in Vietnam. This is also the only partner of Hyundai Motor in the region.

In the three-party cooperation among TCMS-Motrex-Zalo AI, Motrex will cooperate with Zalo AI’s engineers to configure assistant Kiki, so that the virtual assistant will be compatible with IVI system it manufactures.

With the agreement, Motrex will be the first international automobile part manufacturer to integrate Kiki into its products.

Kiki has capability of communicating in Vietnamese and has good knowledge about local culture, tastes and demands. Kiki is capable of performing tasks such as listening to music, showing the way and directing cars smoothly as per requests by the user's voice.

For motor vehicle insurance, with achievements in Machine Learning and Computer Vision, car damage identification has become more feasible. Some companies have used AI in assessment and compensation.

In Vietnam, FPT.AI is the first company to provide AI in the field, with FPT.AI CarDamage. It uses AI to process images, detect car damages, assess the level of damages, and calculate repair costs.

After FPT.AI, another startup has introduced a similar solution – AICycle. The startup was founded by Do Manh Tuan, known as the co-founder of UpGen and Be (an e-hailing app), and Vu Thanh Hung, PhD in machine learning in Australia.

AICycle has been developed based on studies about Computer Vision, Deep Learning and millions of images about vehicles collected and trained. It is being experimented at many insurance companies in Vietnam. OpesInsurance has officially AICycle in OCar, its physical damage coverage product.
