Malaysia on January 29 announced the disappearance of Malaysian Airlines Flight MH370 an accident and all passengers and crew on board were presumed to be dead.
However, Malaysia’s aviation director-general Azharuddin Abdul Rahman affirmed that the search for this missing aircraft will continue with the support of China and Australia.
The Ministry of Transport planned to announce the preliminary report on MH370 investigation on March 7, one year after the plane went missing.
The announcement was in accordance with standards of the International Civil Aviation, Azharuddin Abdul Rahman said in a TV broadcast statement, adding that the airline was ready to proceed the compensation to the next-of-kin of the passengers on the flight.
On March 8, 2014, Malaysia Airlines Flight MH370, with 239 people on board, disappeared en route from Kuala Lumpur to Beijing.
The airline’s crisis worsened months later when Flight MH17, on its route from Amsterdam to Kuala Lumpur, was shot down over Ukraine, killing 298 people on board.
