VietNamNet Bridge – Nam Tra My District People's Committee in central Quang Nam Province said on Tuesday 30 Vietnamese labourers working in Malaysia had been deported for no apparent reason.

The labourers claim they had not broken the law and had abided by their employer's regulations.

The labourers have yet to pay off loans of VND24 million (US$1,100) they each took out before going abroad.

Ho Van Ny, committee chairman, said the district would work with Chau Hung and Lien Viet labour export companies to find out why the labourers had been deported, to ensure they were being fairly treated.
