Lim B, 38, said he married a Vietnamese woman three years and they have a two-year-old son. On Jun 14, his wife took their son to her hometown (near HCM City) to participate in a floating cake festival.
She had told him that she would return back to Malaysia on July 13. However, on July 14, she told Lim on the phone that she would not return. Meanwhile, the Malaysian man wanted his wife and son to come back with him.
He has asked for assistance of competent agencies to search for his wife and his son.
Lim said their marriage was very happy. “I love her very much. I love her at our first meeting,” he said. They got married through match-making services.
The woman called Lim once again to ask for money for medical treatment for their son but she kept refusing to return to Malaysia. Lim said his wife did not tell him why she did not want to return.
According to Malaysian authorities, at least 21 foreign brides returned their home countries with their children and did not come back Malaysia in the last year, including ten Vietnamese women.
