According to a report from local police, a 69-year-old man, his 68-year-old wife and their 38-year-old daughter who was pregnant were found dead at their home in Thanh Phu Commune, Cai Nuoc District at 1 pm the same day.

Another daughter of the couple hadn't been able to contact them for several days and came to their house to find that it was locked. She called but no one answered. She noticed a bad smell coming from inside the house and called some neighbours to help break open the doors. And they found her father lying dead on the floor in the living room with multiple injuries, her sister dead in the bedroom, and her mother dead in the garden some 50 metres from the house.

The daughter said that she called the phone number of her father four days ago and Bui Vu Khoa answered the phone, telling her that father and mother were out on a holiday and gave the phone to him for repairs. Khoa was the boyfriend of the dead pregnant woman and they were living in the house with the elderly couple.

Some neighbours said that Khoa also told them that the elderly couple were not home.

After checking the site, police immediately searched for Khoa and found him in Ca Mau City late the same afternoon.

At the police station, Khoa said that he killed his girlfriend and her parents after a quarrel last week. After that, he took their money, motorbike and phone and fled to Ca Mau City.

Police are investigating the case.
