A 30-year-old man was arrested in the Scottish city of Glasgow in connection with a suicide bombing in Sweden last December, British police said Tuesday.
The man was suspected of "aiding terrorist activities outside Scotland" and posed no direct threat to Scotland, police said.
Police arrested the foreign national under the Terrorism Act Tuesday morning as part of an intelligence-led operation in the city.
A spokesman for Strathclyde Police said police conducted an operation in the Whiteinch area of Glasgow, adding that "the operation centers on a previous incident in Sweden. It was intelligence-led and relates to allegations that this individual has been involved in aiding terrorist activities outside Scotland."
Taimour Abdulwahab, the Stockholm suicide bomber, injured two people when he set off blasts in a busy shopping street.
Abdulwahab was studying at the University of Bedfordshire in Britain.
