Man dies after falling off river cable crossing

A man died on Sunday after falling from a cable he made himself to cross Krong Ana River in the Central Highlands province of Dak Lak's Hoa Le commune.

A man died on Sunday after falling from a cable he made himself to cross Krong Ana River in the Central Highlands province of Dak Lak's Hoa Le commune.

He fell 10 metres from the cable down into the river and died on the way to a local hospital.

Nguyen Minh Son, vice chairman of the commune's People's Committee, said dozens of people use homemade cables every day to get to their farms across the river, despite the danger.
