VietNamNet Bridge – A woman who lost both her kidneys by mistake in an operation at Can Tho General Hospital early this month has been offered one from a man with the same blood group.

Hue Central Hospital will help Can Tho doctors perform the transplant for Hua Cam Tu, 37.

Bui Duc Phu, director of Hue Central Hospital said on Sunday that a working group from his hospital had arrived at Can Tho on December 21 to check the health of the patient.

The good Samaritan's kidney donation will enable Tu survive without being hooked up to a dialysis machine for the rest of her life.
