VietNamNet Bridge - According to the Vietnam Football Federation’s (VFF) announcement, the deadline for transfer for the football season 2013 will be mid-January 2013.

FCs were very astonished at VFF’s decision. Accordingly, the transfer period for the first leg is from 25/10 to 01/16/2013 and from 2-29/5/2013 for the second leg. In the transfer period, FCS are required to complete the transfer procedures and get the international transfer certificate (ITC).

Therefore, FCs will have only 20 days remaining for the transfer of players. At this moment, many teams are not been convened yet so the above provisions is like raising difficulty for FCs.

Earlier, the VFF decided to delay the opening of the new season in March 2013. The transfer period will end nearly two months before the new football season begins. This is really unexpected change because in the previous season, the gap was only 1-2 weeks, in order to create comfortable conditions for the teams in transfer.

Both at the V-League and the First Division Tournament, more than 200 players have been recently unemployed after their teams were disbanded. Currently, a lot of players are having probation at new FCs. However, finding a good player at moderate price is not easy. That is why many FCs disagree with VFF’s decision.

Chief organizer of the V-League, Mr. Tran Duy Ly, said the deadline is set by the FIFA, which had been sent to VFF a long time ago. However, as the opening of the new football season is delayed to March, the transfer deadline prescribed by the FIFA is not reasonable.

The VFF and the Vietnam Professional Football JSC (VPF) met on December 19 on this issue and the decision will be made very soon, in the principle of extending the deadline to facilitate FCs.
