VietNamNet Bridge – The police of Quang Ninh Province have imposed administrative fines totaling VND20 million ($1,000) on five Chinese and one Korean for unauthorized entry into Vietnam.

The people crossed the Vietnam-China border without fulfilling exit and entry procedures.

The five Chinese nationals who were fined were Yang Kun, born in 1974; Zhu Yan Rong, 1964; Kuang Yong, 1965; Wang Guo Zhi, 1963; and Yang Jing Feng, 1966. All of them reside in the city of Guiyang, Guizhou Province, China.

On February 9, at a hotel in Bai Chay Ward, Ha Long City, the local police checked and discovered that these people entered Vietnam without passports or personal papers.

They declared that they entered Vietnam on the same day through Nam Thi River, in Lao Cai Province. They then hired a car to travel to Quang Ninh to visit Ha Long Bay. These people were asked to leave Vietnam before February 11.

Also, on February 11, Quang Ninh police fined a Korean man named Yu Seong Il, born in 1964, with VND30 million ($1,500) for illegal residence in Vietnam to work as a tour guide since 2012.

This man was forced to leave Vietnam and he will be banned from entering Vietnam from now until 2018.

According to the police, this man used a passport that expired from March 2012 to enter Vietnam many times to guide Korean tourists in Vietnam. Since October 2010, he has illegally lived in Hanoi to work as a guide.
