The Hue Festival 2024 will explore festival chains throughout the year.

The Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Tourism, along with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the People's Committee of Thua Thien Hue Province, recently held a press conference to provide details about Hue Festival 2024 and the Hue International Arts Festival Week 2024.

Mr. Nguyen Van Phuong, Chairman of the People's Committee of Thua Thien Hue Province, highlighted the significant achievements of the Hue Festival over the past 24 years. He emphasized its role in stimulating tourism, preserving culture, and fostering socio-economic development.

Building on the success of past festivals, the organizers of Hue Festival 2024 will continue to expand its offerings throughout the year, establishing a new festival system. This includes the Spring Festival - Spring of the Ancient Capital from January to March, featuring royal Tet activities and traditional Tet cultural spaces.

The Summer - Shining Citadel Festival will run from April to June, featuring the highlight event of the Hue International Arts Festival Week 2024, aimed at promoting Hue as a city of festivals.

The 'Hue International Arts Festival Week 2024' with the theme 'Cultural heritage with integration and development' will take place from June 7th to 12th, offering new and unique experiences.

The Hue Autumn Festival will take place from July to September, with a focus on the Mid-Autumn Festival program, including the Hue Lantern Festival 2024 and street unicorn-lion-dragon performances.

The Hue Winter Festival from October to December will feature Hue Music Week 2024 and conclude with a countdown program welcoming the new year 2025.

The Hue International Arts Festival Week 2024, themed "Cultural Heritage with Integration and Development," will be held from June 7th to 12th. It promises to offer new experiences in culture, history, and art, with performances from renowned domestic and international artists, showcasing royal court music and unique folk melodies.

So far, 12 art troupes from 7 countries, including Belgium, Spain, Japan, China, Canada, Korea, and France, have registered to participate in the Hue International Arts Festival Week 2024. Vietnamese artists such as rappers Den Vau and Suboi, the Chillies band, and pop singer Soobin Hoang Son will also be part of the program.

Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports, and Tourism Ta Quang Dong highlighted the significance of the Hue Festival as a unique cultural event with international reach. He emphasized the Ministry's ongoing support for Thua Thien Hue Province in organizing this event, recognizing the province's rich cultural heritage and potential.
