The city’s people’s committee said the event will offer four categories – full marathon (42km), half marathon (21km), a 10km and 5km run.
The city said the marathon will prelude the 2017 Asia-Pacific Economic Co-operation (APEC) summit in Da Nang along with events including VNG Ironman 70.3 Viet Nam, the 2017 Da Nang International Fireworks Competition and the 6th Asia Golf Tourism Convention.
Last year’s race, which drew over 4,000 runners and their families, saw Japanese marathoners Kentaro Masuda and Kyoko Otsuka win the men’s and women’s titles.
The race, which was organised by the city, the World Marathon Company and Pulse Active, was the first Vietnamese marathon certified by the International Amateur Athletics Association and the Association of International Marathons and Distance Races.
Competitors can register race through www.rundanang.com.
