VietNamNet Bridge – Over 160 sharpshooters will be competing at the National Shooting Championship in Ha Noi on October 7-14, the Viet Nam Shooting Federation announced yesterday, Oct 3.

The biggest shooting event of the year will provide a platform for national team selection with an eye on the Southeast Asian Games in Indonesia next month.

Competitors are set to take part in both men and women's individual and team events centred on rifles, pistols and traps for 24 sets of medals.

VN to face China at Ha Noi international futsal event

Viet Nam will meet China in the opener of the Ha Noi International Futsal (indoor football) event at the Quan Ngua sports centre on Friday.

The team will consist of 20 players in total, six of them drawn from national defending champions Thai Son Bac.

The hosts will face tough challenges against powerhouses in the Southeast Asian Games warm-up and during 2012 Asian Football Confederation (AFC) Futsal qualifiers.

However, team coach Sergio Gargelli confirmed that the team would do its best in every game it played.

The national team, which won last years tourney, will meet Qatar on Saturday and Uzbekistan on Sunday.
