At present, information regarding Maroon 5's schedule in Phu Quoc is being kept secret.
The US pop rock band will perform at the second 8Wonder Winter Festival on December 16, marking their first appearance in Vietnam.
They are expected to sing 11 of their hit songs, including “This Love”, “Moves Like Jagger”, “One More Night”, “Sugar”, “Don't Wanna Know”, “Sunday Morning”, “Girls Like You”, “Memories”, “Animals”, “Maps”, and “She Will Be Loved” during a 75-minute show.
The band’s Vietnam performance has drawn plenty of attention from the media and fans over the past two months. Many fans anticipate that the much awaited show will leave them with a hugely positive impression at the 8Wonder Nha Trang music festival.
The upcoming music festival will also see lots of leading Vietnamese celebrities gather together, including Toc Tien, GreyD, JustaTee, Phuong Ly, Double2T, and DJ 2PILLZ.
The six-member band debuted in 2002. With hit singles “Harder to Breathe”, “This Love”, and "She Will Be Loved", their album “Songs About Jane” peaked at number six on the Billboard 200 chart and went quadruple platinum in 2005. The same year saw the band win the Grammy Award for Best New Artist.
The band's second album “It Won't Be Soon Before Long” was released in May 2007. It debuted at number one on the US Billboard 200 chart and the lead single "Makes Me Wonder" became the band's first number-one single on the Billboard Hot 100.
Maroon 5 have sold more than 135 million records, making them one of the world's best-selling music bands. In January, their "Moves Like Jagger" had become the second most downloaded song of all time.
