Out of these athletes, Tran Thi Nhi Yen and Vo Thi My Tien received wildcard entries.

The Vietnamese delegation is led by Dang Ha Viet, the Director of the Department of Sports and Physical Training. The delegation has no deputy leader. The flag bearers for Vietnam at the opening ceremony are Le Duc Phat (badminton) and Nguyen Thi That (cycling).
