Since 1993 the Rencontres du Vietnam (Meet Vietnam) science and education foundation has organised numerous international conferences aimed at helping young scientists establish contacts with international colleagues.
VietNamNet Bridge - Professor Francois Englert, the scientist who discovered the Higgs boson and won the Nobel Prize in 2013, is now in Binh Dinh to participate in an international workshop held by Meet Vietnam organization from August 11 to 17.
The love for science created a bond between Jack Steinberger with Tran Thanh Van and the country of Vietnam, which urged Steinberger to send a letter to the US President proposing embargo elimination for Vietnam.
The “Meet Vietnam” is believed a golden opportunity for Vietnamese scientists to meet the world’s famous scientists and approach the latest scientific research achievements. However, only a few of young scientists attended the event.
