The event, from December 5 to12, is aimed at promoting online shopping in the country and building a sustainable e-commerce community.

It is a continuation of Online Friday – a one-day event organised by Vietnam's E-commerce and Information Technology Agency – and will offer laptops and other devices like smartphones and tablets.

For the first time in Viet Nam, e-commerce companies will work together rather than against each other to offer their best products and services to customers.

The 10 participating e-commerce companies will increase their marketing spend and do cross-marketing and co-marketing with other partners to maximise the efficiency of online marketing activities to reach a large number of customers.

Instead of going to several different websites to look for deals, during the week customers can go to one place and enjoy more than 400 deals that include free delivery, sale of electronic devices for 0 dong and other discounts of up to 70 per cent.

Mobile phone operator Viettel will send text messages to its eight million customers about a deal each day during Online Fever.

Zalora has a presence in Singapore, Indonesia, Malaysia, Brunei, the Philippines, Thailand, Viet Nam, Hong Kong, Australia, and New Zealand.
