Dung Dieu and Thien An are two of many small and medium enterprises (SMEs) that received support from enterprises of SMEdx, a program on supporting SMEs to carry out digital transformation.
Activated on January 29, 2021, SMEdx aims to accelerate digital transformation in SMEs through digital platforms chosen by the program, to help enterprises optimize their operations.
Under the program, at least 50,000 people each year will access information and become more aware of digital transformation, and at least 30,000 enterprises will experience digital platforms.
Deputy Minister of Information and Communications Nguyen Huy Dung stressed that a digital platform is a breakthrough solution to disseminate and turn digital technology into a service, an input factor similar to electricity and water.
Nguyen Trong Duong from MIC, said, under the program, 23 excellent Make-in-Vietnam digital platforms developed by 22 firms were introduced to enterprises via the Smedx.vn portal.
The total number of visits to Smedx was 220,000 as of December 31, 2021, reaching 37,000 enterprises. With the SME brandname form, SMEdx had accessed 170,000 businesses in 39 localities.
Thanks to the diversification of access methods, more than 16,000 businesses in 2021 chose to use the platforms of the SMEdx program.
Nguyen Thi Cuc, Chair of the Vietnam Tax Consultancy Association, said each enterprise can save 300 working hours each year if using digital platforms. With 700,000 enterprises, the savings figure would be VND8 trillion a year.
It is expected that 30 Make in Vietnam platforms will join the program in 2022, and 150,000 people will access the program via Smedx.vn. Around 30,000 businesses are expected to use digital platforms to digitize, and 200,000 business owners will receive messages about digital transformation and the SMEdx program.
