Minh, world No 36, will play the winner of the qualifier in the first round men’s singles event.

Among women, Vu Thi Trang of Viet Nam is the fifth seed. She will face Airi Mikkela of the host country in the first singles match.

Trang’s teammate Le Thu Huyen will also compete in this category, starting with the qualifier in which she plays Mako Urushizaki of Japan.
