Top seed faces tough task at Asian Games

Minh, the tournament's sixth seed, is eager to defeat the French player after finishing only eighth in the Asian Games in Guangzhou last week.


He has not won a major title since he triumphed in the Australian Open Grand Prix in March.


Minh, 25, cruised past Brice, 21-14, 21-16 at the Yonex Sunrise Badminton World Federation Championships last year.


The Shanghai event, which has drawn the world's top players including Asian Games champion Lin Dan, Chunlai Bao and Thailand's Boonsak Ponsasa, ends on Sunday.
