VietNamNet Bridge – World No.10 Nguyen Tien Minh will join his Vietnamese teammates at the 2013 Badminton Asia Championships in Taipei, China from April 16-21.

He is seeded No.5 in the tournament and will face underdogs world No.80 Chan Yan Kit from Hong Kong in his first match of the men’s individuals event.

Minh has defeated his rival three times in their previous encounters however, he has had disappointing performances at recent events where he was often defeated by younger competitors.

Three other Vietnamese players will compete on the men’s individual main stage including Do Duc Tuan, Nguyen Hoang Nam and Pham Cao Cuong.

Their colleagues, Le Thi Huyen and Vu Thi Trang will take part in the women’s individual qualifying round, while Duong Bao Duc and Nguyen Hoang Nam, and Vu Thi Trang and Nguyen Thi Sen will play in the men’s and women’s doubles qualifiers, respectively.
