The tournament will attract the world's top players such as Lin Dan, Chen Long, Bao Chunlai, Chen Jin from China, Taufik Hidayat of Indonesia, Peter Hoeg Gade of Denmark, Boonsak Ponsana of Thailand and Park Sung-hwan of South Korea.
With the absence of world number one Malaysian Chong Wei Lee, who is busy preparing for the 2012 Olympics, world No 2 Lin Dan of China is top seed for Singapore, with ninth-ranked Minh seeded No 8.
The draw is scheduled to take place on May 31.
Competing this year for Viet Nam in the Singapore Open men's doubles will be Bui Bang Duc and Dao Manh Thang – the first professional Vietnamese pair. They will also compete in the upcoming Southeast Asian Games in Indonesia this November.
After Singapore, Minh, the only Vietnamese in the world top 100, will compete in the $600,000 Indonesia Open from June 21-26.
